Tip #2 to Recruit Franchisees: Have a Clear Process

Starting a franchise can be a confusing process, particularly for people new to the industry. Every franchisor has their own franchisee recruitment process, and if you lay out the steps for a potential franchisee right from the start it helps them to be clear on timescales, actions and expectations from the outset. Furthermore, part of what they are buying from you are the operating systems of the business, so you need to demonstrate that yours are easy to follow and professional. Make it easy to understand (e.g. number it into steps) and include their due diligence checks within the steps – such as speaking to franchisees and assessing the Franchise Agreement – to show that you also want them to be sure about the model and are confident that they will find positive results.
