Tip #4 to Recruit Franchisees: Set High Standards

Potential franchisees want to feel that they are becoming more of an exclusive network of individuals that have proven their salt in the franchisee recruitment process. Don’t make the mistake of making it sound easy to enter your network. Within your process (see tip #4) include an application form, official interviews with the Director and put a step for their approval in to your network so that it is clear that they also have to impress you.

The best franchisee recruitment processes that we come across also require the potential franchisee to present market research about their proposed territory within a time-frame and to present it to the Director as part of the selection process. This helps to push them along their preparation and also reinforces that only the best individuals are selected. This will result in higher quality and more determined franchisees entering your network.
