From Battlefield to Business

On 3 July 2012, FranchisingWorks will be attending an event to showcase the achievements of inspiring entrepreneurs who successfully started their own businesses after leaving the Armed Forces.

‘From Battlefield to Business’ – hosted by The British Library’s Business & IP Centre in association with a range of military charities –  will demonstrate how starting a business be an attractive option for service leavers in the current, extremely difficult, jobs climate.

Franchising is particularly suitable for people used to working in a structured working environment, such as the Armed Forces. Franchising offers a very wide range of business opportunities – such as physical fitness, mechanics or teaching – which have their counterparts in Armed Forces careers.

FranchisingWorks will have a stand at the event, talking about how we support ex Armed Forces men and women to set up businesses in franchising as delivery partners for the Be the Boss programme run by the Royal British Legion.

The event is from 6:15 to 9:00 pm in the British Library Conference Centre in London. Tickets cost £10.00 (£7.50 concessions) and can be bought by calling 01937 546546
