For the 2024/25 funding period, the Council prioritised projects that provide “effective support for those in need”. Priority was also given to projects that support the Council’s “Early Intervention and Prevention” agenda, focusing on helping people into employment. This ensures that grass roots organisations have access to funding to contribute towards the Knowsley Council Plan priority areas.
Groups could apply for funding up to £2,000 or £10,000 and a full list of the organisations and the projects receiving the funding is available here.

“Our voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector play a vital role in supporting residents across our borough, and I know that additional funding support such as this will be welcomed.
“The successful projects will also help support the Council as we embark on the start of our new Knowsley Council Plan. The priorities within the plan can only be achieved through a Knowsley Better Together approach and I am delighted that this funding will enable this vital partnership working.
“Over the past seven years, the fund had invested £1.79m into the sector, and this has enabled numerous organisations to grow and support our residents. I look forward to seeing these projects progress over the coming months.”
